The importance of knowing your ABCs – vitamins, that is

It can be confusing to know which vitamins you need for what, but when it comes to your skin, it’s as simple as A, B and C.

Knowing your ABCs

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is widely considered one of the most important ingredients in skincare as it can assist in reprogramming skin cells. Vitamin A has the ability to normalise how cells function, meaning it’s able to influence cells to behave in a healthier way, for example:

  • Normalising oil production
  • Reduces epidermal inflammation
  • Reverses photo-ageing
  • Reduces pigmentation
  • Preserves and stimulates collagen

Vitamin B

Vitamin B, otherwise referred to as Niacinamide, is an active cosmeceutical with extraordinary array of skin benefits for all skin types and condition. It is clinically proven to improve the skin’s barrier strength, hydration, inflammation, sensitivity, acne, excess oil, pigmentation and visible signs of ageing.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is also known as L-ascorbic acid. It’s the most abundant anti-oxidant that can protect the skin cells from UVA and UVB, stimulates collagen production to minimise scars and winkles, regenerates Vitamin E, lightens skin tone and uneven pigmentation, accelerates healing and alleviates inflammation.

You can get vitamins A, B and C from your diet, however through your skincare, it is a faster and more effective way.
