Snoring often occurs when the muscles and soft tissues of the upper airway relax, causing the soft palate and surrounding structures to vibrate during sleep. This can affect not only the person experiencing it but also those around them.
The Inlift™ fractional laser as a non-invasive option that may assist in the management of snoring exclusively offered by Dr Richard.
The Inlift™ fractional laser targets the root cause of snoring by tightening and strengthening the soft palate and surrounding tissue that would otherwise relax and obstruct the air passage. It delivers controlled light energy at the 2940nm bandwidth to the soft palate at the back of the mouth and throat. This process gently heats the tissue, which may stimulate collagen and support tightening of the area. The goal is to improve tissue tone in the upper airway, which may help reduce the likelihood of vibration during sleep.
No. The Inlift™ fractional laser is not a treatment for sleep apnoea. If you experience symptoms such as excessive daytime tiredness, waking unrefreshed, or falling asleep easily during the day, you should seek assessment from your GP or a sleep specialist.
